PROFESSOR AKINTUNDE OLUSEGUN OBILADE

PROFILE:-

PROFESSOR OBILADE is the Senior Consultant to Geomel Chambers.

He advises several local and international clients on legal issues covering major areas of legal practice.

He is an Emeritus Professor of law. He is recognized internationally.

SPECIALIZATION:-

He is an academic scholar. His areas of interest include Human Rights, Arbitration, Criminal Law, Legal Theory, Social Theory, Legal Institutions, Judicial Process and Law Reform.

EDUCATION:-

He attended the University of Lagos and Harvard University. He holds an LL.M. degree of Harvard University. He is a legal practitioner and was called to the Nigerian Bar in June 1967.

CAREER:-

He was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School. He was a member of the academic staff of the University of Lagos where he was formerly the Dean of the Faculty of Law. He won several scholarships and prizes including Mobil Oil Scholarship, 1963 to 1966; Mobil Oil Scholarship, 1966 to 1967; Faculty Prize, 1964; Vice-Chancellor's Prize,1966; Elder Dempster Lines prize in Company Law,1967 and Rockefeller Foundation Scholarship,1969 to 1970.
